Professor Stefanie Dehnen, head of the Institute for Inorganic Chemistry at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and her research team have successfully synthesized and stabilized a five-atom bismuth ring molecule; known as Bi₅⁻; resolving a chemical mystery that has puzzled scientists for decades. This achievement not only fills a gap in fundamental chemistry but
